Are you planning to purchase a new lift? As of January 20, 2027, the Machinery Regulation will come into force (replacing the current Machinery Directive).
For some lifts, a mandatory inspection will then apply.

For new lifts installed and commissioned before January 20, 2027, the current Machinery Directive remains in force.
An inspection is then not mandatory.

For some lifts installed and commissioned on or after January 20, 2027, an inspection may be mandatory under the new rules.

For lifts installed and commissioned before January 20, 2027, where a significant modification is made on or after this date, an inspection may apply under the new rules.
